Our Mission Statement
We are dedicated to helping others through education and consulting in the areas of nutrition and lifestyle choices. We believe that individuals are best physically nourished by nutrient-dense real food. Optimal health comes through real food, nutritional therapy when needed, the adopting of healthy lifestyle practices and the proper addressing of stress negatively impacting one’s mind and spirit. Our goal is to provide an environment where these areas of need can be well supported and where each person we serve will have the opportunity to experience their best potential for wellness.
The human body has been designed with an amazing capacity for self-regulation and self-healing. The body is constantly working to be at ease. If we pay attention to its signals and provide true nourishment for the body, mind and spirit, it will serve us well during our time on earth.

Kim Schuette, CN, Certified GAPS Practitioner
Kim has been in private practice in the field of nutrition since 1999. She earned her certification as a Certified Nutritionist in 2002 and in that same year established Biodynamic Wellness, now located in Solana Beach, California, which staffs four additional nutritionists whom she has mentored. Her love for organic gardening, gourmet cooking and healing through foods and real food-based nutritional therapies led her into a practice where she offers private consultations specializing in nutritional and biotherapeutic drainage therapy to address gut/bowel and digestive disorders, male and female hormonal imbalances, autism, ADD/ADHD challenges and a myriad of other health concerns. In 2011, after using the GAPS Diet in her practice for over five years, Kim became a Certified GAPS™ Practitioner under the guidance of Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. Additionally she has been trained in hair mineral analysis, salivary hormone balancing and blood chemistry assessment. Kim teaches numerous workshops centered on the work of Drs. Weston Price and Melvin Page. Her workshop topics range from children’s health and female hormonal concerns to transitioning to a whole foods diet. Kim received the Activist Award from the Weston A. Price Foundation in 2012 for her work in children’s nutrition and preconception nutrition. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Weston A. Price Foundation, as well as the San Diego Chapter co-leader of the Weston A. Price Foundation. She is the mother of three healthy children (two adults and one teenager). Kim resides in Encinitas, California with her husband and their youngest son.
Susie Burns, NTP, Certified GAPS Practitioner
Susie graduated from Pepperdine University in 1987 with a degree in sociology. As she noticed her kids’ illnesses recurring through conventional treatment and medication, Susie began to realize that medical patients need to be listened to, respected and given the tools to heal the root cause of an illness—not just the symptoms. Inspired by her mentor, Kim Schuette, Susie earned her certification as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2007 and join Biodynamic Wellness. Since earning her certification Susie has worked with balancing hormones, healing gut issues and supporting high school athletes through nutrition. Susie completed her training as a Certified GAPS™ Practitioner under Dr. Natasha Campbell. Susie has developed a passion for equipping new parents and parents-to-be with the information they need to raise happy, healthy children and she has helped guide many families through their transition to a real food diet, utilizing Nourishing Traditions and Weston A. Price ideology. She is an advocate of a parent’s right to make informed decisions regarding vaccinations. Susie focuses on addressing digestion as the root cause of ailments. She is an active member of the Weston A. Price Foundation and has helped establish the Real Food Club, a private buying club. Susie and her husband David are parents to three healthy and happy children and live in Encinitas with their two teenagers. Susie’s passion for nutrition and well-being motivated her eldest daughter to earn a degree in nutrition from the University of California at Berkeley.
Anna Robertson, BS in Nutrition, NTP, Certified GAPS™ Practitioner
Anna graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California with a bachelors of science in nutrition in 2010. After volunteering at a hospital in San Luis Obispo Anna realized the importance of focusing on prevention of disease through nutrition. After her graduation from college, Anna spent seven months in Thailand and Cambodia during which time she evaluated the diets of the Mhong hill tribe, where their children were chronically ill and experiencing stunted growth. It was in Thailand and Cambodia that she began reading Dr. Weston A. Price’s work and understanding firsthand the truth of his findings. While in Cambodia, Anna worked in a clinic where she gained valuable medical experience but also observed the lack of sound nutrition in conventional medical care. This motivated her to pursue real food nutrition as a means to disease prevention. Anna received her certification as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in June 2012. Her passion for the principles of Dr. Weston A. Price influences her work with children as well as young couples planning conception. She also works with clients addressing foundational gut issues as a Certified GAPS™ Practitioner, including malabsorption and allergies, as well as hormone balancing. In addition Anna is available for kitchen makeovers. Anna resides in Solana Beach.
