Description
Wildly Organic Centrifuged Extracted Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil is different from most other coconut oils. Made from freshly pressed coconut cream, it passes through a series of centrifuges that separate the oil from the water components of the cream. The result is a pure, isolated oil that is creamy and smooth with a very mild, light coconut aroma and taste. Many feel it is the best raw coconut oil available anywhere and will eat it off the spoon.
Our Centrifuge Extracted Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is made in the following way:
1. Press
First, we press the fresh, white flesh of the coconut to get a coconut cream or milk. After shelling the coconut, it takes less than 45 minutes to produce the cream. This cream is approximately 40% oil. We closely monitor the temperatures of the coconut flesh and the resulting coconut cream emulsion to ensure they do not exceed 120° F.
2. Centrifuge
This coconut cream, with the aid of a series of centrifuges, is separated into its naturally refined coconut oil and water components. A number of passes through different centrifuges are needed to isolate a pure raw coconut oil, but the result is absolutely fabulous!
3. Vacuum
Lastly, a slight vacuum is placed on the coconut oil to remove any remaining traces of moisture. Once all moisture is removed, the oil is packaged into new food-grade stainless steel drums for shipment to the US. Generally, the raw coconut oil is completely clear like spring water when it is in a liquid state and pure white when it is in a solid-state.
Centrifuge Extracted Coconut Oil is typically considered one of the highest quality coconut oils but is also one of the most expensive to produce. There are many brands using the term “extra virgin coconut oil,” and although the industry does not recognize that term when applied to coconut oil specifically, our centrifuge extracted organic coconut oil would be the closest thing to organic extra virgin coconut oil.
